KPSI's Series 810 vent filter is a replaceable
de-humidifier intended for use with our submersible level transducers. Designed
specifically for those high humidity environments where water vapor may condense
in the vent tube, this device protects sensitive electronic components from
mildew, corrosion, rust and other forms of deterioration while at the same time
preventing the formation of a liquid column. As air passes through the drying
tube, moisture is absorbed by the desiccant (drying agent). The desiccant
changes from blue to rose red as its drying capacity becomes diminished. The
more humidity in the air, the quicker the desiccant turns color and in a short
period of time, requires replacement.
Pressure Systems has developed a new and improved version the 810 vent filter. The new version provides for
virtually maintenance free moisture protection for all our vented gauge format
submersible transducers. The SuperDry vent filter provides 10 times the
moisture protection versus other barriers, meaning that units installed with
this accessory will be protected against high humidity for over one year,
guaranteed. The SuperDry will be our standard vent filter and will be
installed on all KPSI vented gauge format submersibles shipped from the
factory.
