A variety of configurations are available to satisfy almost any installation. The internal battery configuration provides years of life and is field-replaceable through an innovative quick-disconnect cable assembly. The battery-free configuration facilitates permanent installation by drawing power from the wireless equipment source and eliminating the inconvenience of battery replacement. Both configurations are available with stainless steel or titanium construction, vented gage or absolute reference format, ported or open face nose cap, and polyurethane or ETFE cable.

Intuitive applications programs are supplied on CD and available online. K-ware Desktop is used with Windows®-based notebook computers and K-ware Mobile for Windows Mobile®-based PDA’s. Foreign language support is offered in these two packages. A more sophisticated software program called K-ware is also included enabling advanced playback and barometric compensation functions while facilitating wireless communication. All software including the latest waterMONITOR firmware is posted on Pressure Systems’ website and available at no charge.

The waterMONITOR is RoHS compliant, and meets CE requirements EN 61326-1:2003 and EN 61326-1:2001. The submersible transducers have an IP 68 and NEMA 6P protection rating. Pressure Systems is IS0-9001:2000 certified.

  1. Intermediate level ranges are available.
  2. Total Error Band (TEB) includes the combined errors due to nonlinearity, hysteresis, nonrepeatability and thermal effects over the compensated temperature range per ISA S51.1.
  3. For absolute reference, additional error up to ±0.2% FS/year may be incurred due to offset drift.
  4. Leve/temperature averaging must be reduced as required.
  5. ETFE is a fluoropolymer ( Teflon® derivative) material, Tefzel® or equivalent.

Fixes

12-22-05 1.7
  • Improved test-logging recovery from accidental reset.

  • Added sleep control commands to make the SDI-12 break/mark requirement optional, which is useful for remote or wireless operation.

07-18-05 1.6
  • Added Auto-Alarm and Broadcast features

01-17-05 1.4
  • Eliminated unwanted communication delays from transducer to external data loggers in instances where simultaneous internal data logging was in process.

  • Corrected SDI-12 protocol to be fully compliant with 100mS stay awake requirement. No break/mark pulse is required for DO commands if sent within 100mS of service request.

  • Improved return to low power standby mode of operation after receiving spurious or corrupt characters. This will improve internal battery life in such cases.

9-30-04 1.2 First release of production firmware.
