Section 1.3.2 Manifolds and Pressure Connections

Add the following NOTE to the paragraph:

"9816 scanners with front-mount quick disconnect (QDC) panels have all necessary input fittings on the panel. Therefore, the run reference (RUNREF) input ports on the rear of the 98RK are not utilized. Previously, compression fittings were installed in these rear ports. The input ports now have plugs, rather than fittings, installed.

Paragraph (4) should read;

Slide the front panel forward as far as it will go (approximately d").
Page 5-16Section 5.1.6.2 Tubing Plate O-Ring ReplacementAdd a new paragraph (5) to read as follows:
"Inspect for the presence of optional shim washers around each of the six (6) screws. If washers are present, retain for use in reassembly."
Renumber remaining paragraphs accordingly.Change paragraph (7) to read: (additions are in italics)
Examine the tubing plate and calibration manifold to verify that no contaminants are on either surface. This generally requires microscopic examination. Replace the tubing plate by slowly placing the plate on the calibration manifold housing. Make sure the O-ring/cup seal side is down toward the pneumatic sliding manifold and the guiding pin on the calibration manifold housing fits into the mating hole of the tubing plate. Also, ensure that shim washers, if used, are reinstalled between the tubing plate and the calibration manifold assembly.

Section 5.1.6.6 Module Rear Manifold O-Ring Replacement

Paragraph (4a) to read as follows:For glued O-ring replacement (O-rings will be black)

(4a) There are only two O-rings on this panel that are glued; the larger black ones. One is for the purge port and the other surrounds a blanking pin. Using a glue syringe, line the O-ring cup(s) with appropriate glue, such as 3M Scotch Grip 1357. Insert a new O-ring (PSI part number 61-03-50120) and press it into the cup with your hand. Allow the glue to dry for approximately 10-15 minutes. Clean any excess glue with appropriate cleaning solvent, and dry. Be extremely careful not to allow any excess glue to cover the tubing ports.

Pages 5-21 and 5-22

Section 5.1.6.7 Rear Panel Quick Disconnect (QDC) O-Ring Replacement

NONE of the O-rings on this panel are glued. All are pressed into place over a flared center tube.
PSI part number for these O-rings is 61-03-4762. All O-rings are black.

Delete paragraph (6) and renumber the remaining paragraphs (6) through (10).

Pages 5-22 and 5-23

Section 5.1.6.8 Front Panel Tubing Plate Quick Disconnect (QDC) O-Ring Replacement

NOTE:  NONE of the O-rings on this plate are glued. All O-rings are pressed into place over a flared
center tube. PSI part number for these O-rings is 61-03-4762. All O-rings are black.

Delete paragraph (4a)"For glued O-ring replacement..."

Renumber paragraph (4b) to (4a), and delete the words "For all" following the new paragraph (4a).
